The fabric is very soft although the painted design was just slightly coarser. This doesn’t concern me because from experience with products from this company, the design gets softer with each washing. I was very pleased that the shirt itself was so soft. The only thing that was different this time was that the large panel of print makes it a bit sweatier. (I’m pretty sure it’s an oil based ink the way it retains humidity.)
