Let me just start off by saying that these are the best shirts I have ever owned. Forget those polyester/cotton blend shirts you can get at the local supply shop: these 100% cotton work shirts are all you need!
Now, I did a lot of research before deciding to switch over to these shirts (as I do with all purchases). While I was reading through the reviews for these shirts, I couldn’t help but notice that almost all of the negative reviews were because these shirts are STIFF! And let me tell you, they ARE stiff – but only when you first get them, but that goes away with washing.
They have a funky smell. In fact, the starchy chemical they use on them gave me a headache and irritated my sensitive pits. But that went away with washing.
When you get them, you can hardly try them on. And when you do, they might seem a little big. But they shrink up with washing.
Basically, before you decide to knock this shirt, just commit to washing it a few times and you’ll realize that these are some of the most comfortable and well made shirts available.
REGARDING FIT: I am 6’3″, and a slim 190 pounds (a little soft but not a beer belly by any means) and I went with the Large Talls for all of my shirts. After washing hot and drying hot a few times, this size fits PERFECTY (shrank about an inch and a half all around with 6 or so wash cycles). I’ve never had shirts that were long enough in the arms. So if you too are looking for some long sleeve shirts that actually fit, then I definitely recommend sizing up a little, getting the Big & Tall version of this shirt, and shrinking them a little to fit. They might be a little big in the torso still, but if you’re wearing these shirts, you’re probably a hard working dude who doesn’t have time to concern himself with having perfectly tailored shirts.
All in all, don’t let the negative reviews deter you. Take a chance on these shirts!

A negative 5!!! Ordered 17 1/2x 37, received XL Tall!!! In need for work shirts, tried them on and fit like a tent with selves to short!!! Not able to find anything in my area, decided to keep them and Washed them in medium, still felt like canvas. Put them in the dryer on med low and came out excessively wrinkled, removed them from the dryer as soon as it stopped. Have purchased WRANGLER products for 40 years and this is the worst products I have ever received from this mfg ever let alone not what was specifically ordered!!! Going to find a better clothing mfg to purchase my work and leisure wear from. What a major disappointment for money spent vs quality of product received! ! ! When WRANGLER was made in the USA, never had these issues!!! Hope THE pants I ordered in this same order are going to be the same size I ordered. Still thinking of cancelling the pants due to my dissatisfaction. They haven’t shipped yet!!!!

Some People might not like the Stiff Material Used in making this Shirt. But I do like it. I wear it when Cold Out and the Wind does not go threw this Shirt. I am talking about the Black Color in this Shirt. True to Size. Nice Secure Snap Bottons. The Only Thing is I wish it was Made from USA Materials or Made in USA.

I found the trick to soften these up. Take 1/5 to 1 full cup of fabric softener in the rinse cycle on hot or warm water. After washing put 3 clean tennis ball in the dryer on warm setting. They soften up quite a bit, then you can repeat it to get them as soft as you like. I promise if you do this you’ll love these shirts much more.

Greatest shirts ever. after 2-3 years of everyday wear I cut off the sleeves. This takes 5-6 years because only wear with sleeves in Florida winter. Get 2-4 years of summer wear without sleeves. I work on projects a lot and these hold my pencil, a few screws, what ever in a snap closed pocket. Worked 30 years in a power house and this is the only shirt I would wear. Great for a welder, pipefitter, millwright, active man. Thanks Wrangler!

My husband prefers this work shirt over any other brands. He’s a journeyman welder and has used this sturdy work shirt for the past 10yrs. They offer many different colors now. Not only durable, but stylish compared to most. Best quality for a construction works shirt.

My spouse is close to 200lbs and is 6’ tall, he wears a Large. Initially we ordered an XL & found the Large fit just right He likes to purchase in the big & tall so his shirt tail doesn’t come untucked when he bends over. Highly recommend it’s a good thick work shirt

A wee bit stiff re: fabric, however that will pay off in the long run; after 3 washings still rugged and that’s just fine, as an active guy wants a HIGHLY DURABLE, LONG LASTING shirt. Also looks GREAT & FITS FINE.

besides looking good these make excellent work shirts. My wife agrees that they look good, but does not want to touch the material as it is hard. Have to use the fast shirt open with the snaps!

Been wearing these shirts for over 60 years. They fit well, the buttons are great and work for years. The material is strong and hard to tear. Great western look as well.

If you cant handle the thickness of this shirt then buy yourself a blouse!! This is an old school Wrangler work shirt designed to last a long time..best shirt out there by a mile!!

Real good quality heavy denim. Takes a nice pressing for dancin’ on Saturday night and wears well with just washing. Can make a great work shirt. Good tight seams. Great fit. You pay just a bit more for the name, but ots good quality.

This is a well made shirt. I like its looks and the snaps. They give the shirt a different look. It is a little stiff at first but it softens up after two washes.

I have been wearing this size and brand for at least 50 years and I think they are superb. They are slightly large but though the years will shrink a bit. Wrangler shirts are hard to find in real person sizes as the trend now is just small, reg. and large. I cant picture a welder wearing any other make of shirt. They ae not stiff. Most weldors will have extra starch put in if possible.
